CAN's "We Will Never Forget 9/11"
Event to be Held in NC

On September 11, 2010, the Christian Action Network (CAN) is holding the "We Will Never Forget 9/11" event at Concord, N.C. The event is being held at Impact Church in Concord, N.C. at 44 Cabarrus Avenue West at 6PM. The objective is to honor the victims of 9/11, the soldiers defending our country and to educate the public about the Islamic threat that still exists nearly 10 years after the horrific attacks.

At the event, CAN's President, Martin Mawyer will speak about the threat related to radical Islam and how average citizens can help protect the country. Other speakers are being invited and local community leaders, elected officials, and military personnel are being asked to come to discuss their experiences in combating radical Islam and brainstorm ways to mobilize citizens for effective action.

"We're hoping to awaken the church to the role it has to play in protecting the U.S. and freedom and help guide them in how to do it," Mawyer said.

The event will also include a free screening of CAN's latest documentary, "Islam Rising: Geert Wilders' Warning to the West" about how radical Islam is taking over Europe and a prominent Dutch politician, Geert Wilders, is being prosecuted for hate crimes for criticizing Islam. While the Dutch government tries to silence him, the truly hateful voices of radical Islamic activists can still be heard.

The film also includes Fitna, a documentary made by Wilders that has caused him to receive numerous death threats. CAN is currently the only organization distributing the Fitna documentary in America.

CAN Premieres ISLAM RISING on Capitol Hill

The Christian Action Network held it's much anticipated launch of 'ISLAM RISING: Geert Wilders' Warning to the West' in the prestigious Congressional Cannon Caucus Room on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. on Saturday, May 1, 2010.

The premier screening followed a national prayer rally called 'May Day 2010: A Cry to God for a Nation in Distress' held in front of the Lincoln Memorial earlier in the day. Christian Action Network took part in the prayer rally along with many other Christian and Jewish organizations.

Christian Action Network would like to thank Congressman Ted Poe from Texas for sponsoring the Congressional room and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi for approving the room for CAN to premiere its film 'ISLAM RISING.'

Oklahoma's Trinity Baptist Church Screening of ISLAM RISING a Hit

The evening of March 23rd, 2010 began with the gathering of five local churches in the Oklahoma City area for the pre-screening of the brand new documentary ISLAM RISING.

Dan Fisher, Pastor of the Trinity Baptist Church in Yukon, served as the master of ceremonies. Pastor Fisher estimated the attendance at between 600 and 700.

ISLAM RISING details how "hate crime" laws in the Netherlands have been used to suppress the free speech rights of its citizens and put the future well-being of the Netherlands in peril. The movie includes the short documentary "Fitna" which compares Koranic verses with documented examples of those verses being carried out in practice today through acts of Islamic terrorism. Geert Wilders, who was named Politician of the Year in Holland in 2007 and currently serves as a member of the Dutch Parliament, has been charged with committing a "hate crime" for producing Fitna.

Also included in the evening were presentations by Martin Mawyer (right center), the founder of Christian Action Network and producer of Islam Rising; Pastor Paul Blair (right bottom), Founder of Reclaiming Oklahoma for Christ and current Director of Reclaiming America for Christ; and a special guest known only as "Brother Eli" who was born a Muslim in the Middle East and now is an America Christian who shared about Islam from an insider's and outsider's point of view.

I have seen 'Obsession' and 'The Third Jihad' and think they are both wonderful movies, but ISLAM RISING is the best of the bunch.

-Pastor Blair

We hope that ISLAM RISING receives a wide public viewing especially by Members of Congress. It is a testimony that one man can make a difference. Bravo to the PRB/CAN production team headed by Martin Mawyer and Jason Campbell.
